At the 400 W. Congress Central Plant, we completed a renovation project for the Arizona Department of Administration. To keep the existing facility online, this project, which included the replacement and installation of chillers, boilers, pumps, and cooling towers, was done in phases. Additionally, the project required us to replace the facility’s large custom air handling units, which had to be dismantled and transported through a mechanical shaft to the basement for reassembly. Adding to the expansive mechanical scope, was the effort needed to manage and coordinate other trades work needed with a new boiler room, desired modification to the existing central plant, and other work done in mechanical rooms in the basement.
